Masalodeh

Masalodeh

Hello everyone and welcome back to another lesson of cooking in Malaysia Treats! Today we have brought you guys some Malaysian food because this is traditional Malaysian food and that is called Masalodeh. Masalodeh, I know it looks a lot like an extremely crunchy cookie fat cookie but it's actually Masalodeh the fattest cookie! So I hope you guys will gather all these yummy cookie steps! Check out the recipe below the words:

Ingredients:

  • 500gm kacang dhal (soaked for 2 hours)
  • 3 big onions (sliced)
  • 2 green chillies (sliced)
  • 2cm ginger (sliced)
  • 2 pieces curry leaves (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • Fennel seeds
  • 30ml water
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Grind the kacang dhal  without using any water. Put it inside a container.
  2. Add the green chillies, cumin, ginger, onion, curry leaves and salt according to your taste.
  3. Scrunch it until it becomes dough. Then round it up and flattened it a bit. Do not flat it to much.
  4. Now, it is time for the big test. To.. fry.. it! So heat up the oil and start frying it.
  5. Once the colour had changed into a lovely colour of golden brown.
  6. It is best served hot.
