Roti John

Roti John
Hello everyone and welcome back to the kitchen in Malaysia Treats! I'm glad to see you guys still searching for recipes because today we have some delicious food for you! This kind of food is normally eaten in fasting month when you go to the Pasar Ramadan to buy your kuih, So I hope you'll have some fun with Roti John cause that's the name!

Ingredients:

  • 1 long piece bread (diced into two)
  • 1 egg
  • 125gm minced beef
  • 20gm mix veg
  • 1 tablespoon majerin
  • 1 red onion (chopped into pieces)
  • 1 tomato (sliced round)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Chili sauce
  • A bit of salt

Method:

  1. Heat up the wok and add in the majerin and fry the minced beef. Lift it away.
  2. Crack the egg in a bowl, add in the fried minced beef, mix veg, onion and add salt and sugar to taste. Mix well
  3. Spread the majerin on a hot flat pan.
  4. Pour out the excess egg and shape it into an omelet.
  5. Place the bread on the hot pan cook the insides. Flip it and cook for a while for the skin only.
  6. Lastly, spread the chili sauce and mayo on the filling before putting on the other piece of bread and slicing. Serve when sliced.
